January 1, 2013 Payroll and Product Update

This update includes support for new plain paper T4 and T4 Summary forms as well as the 2013 Payroll Tax changes and changes to syncing with Dropbox.

2013 Payroll Changes

The payroll tax table can be loaded by those customers on a Payroll Tax Service plan. Learn more about the Payroll Tax Service plan.

This update includes changes to the Federal rates, thresholds and employment credit calculations as well as changes to Employment Insurance, CPP and QPIP/QPP and the following provincial and territory payroll changes:

• Nunavut
• Ontario

• Yukon

2012 T4 and T4 Summary Forms

This update includes plain paper versions of the T4 employee and employer submission forms as we as the T4 Summary. Embedded in the form are the CRAs official PDF T4 and T4 Summary forms. You will not need to print onto pre-printed forms as you have in the past.

AccountEdge Mobile, Time Tracker, Backup and Dropbox Support

Dropbox is shifting developers over to a new API/method of communicating with users Dropbox accounts. This update provides a new method for communicating and authenticating with Dropbox in order to sync with AccountEdge Mobile and Time Tracker as well as backing up to Dropbox. If you have already linked to your Dropbox account you shouldn't see any changes.

Important Installation Notes:

Install this update on each computer running AccountEdge Pro 2012. After installing this update, you will need to choose Load Payroll Tax Tables from the Setup menu once you are ready to run your first 2013 payroll.
